Base & Wall Mounting

Each Whale Tail is mounted on a custom-made base. 

Johans chooses the color of the base in harmony with the design of each edition.

Black granite- reminiscent of the rough texture of a racetrack.

White “Thassos” marble, reflecting the beautiful sparkle of the Oryx White paint that serves as a base for some of his objects.

However, if you have a special request, matching the interior of your home, we’re be happy to have it made for you. You can choose between different materials and colors.

Johans mainly uses marble in various colors, as well as granite, as both materials are very robust and emphasize the work of art with their noble texture.

The Whale Tail can also be mounted on the wall, but keep in mind that this will lose the beautiful view of the Tails back side.
